Tony Law: Maximum Nonsense

altand a halfalt

Tony Law ticks all the boxes as far as comedy is concerned:If it’s musical comedy you like then if you count him half learning how to play a steel drum he is just that. If you like character comedy - he plays a pretty impressive Cotswoldian. If you prefer sketch - Tony Law can be a five person sketch group all in one minute. If you are partial to anecdotal comedy - Tony loves telling people about his Viking Uncle taking him on a Viking raid. And do you like Elephants? Well, if not then this show is probably not for you.)

With his wispy fair hair, his lumberjack outfit (?) and his silly, silly mind Tony hopped onto the sold-out stand at 12.30pm on a Monday and treated the audience to an hour full of all the bizarreness they could ever have wished for. Then, just as he goes really wacky and perhaps starts losing the audience who are trying to hang onto the edge of reality he pulls them back in by adding a slight bit of humanity to the mix by talking about his twin kids albeit as the two trolls who live in his flat in London (I loved that bit).

Tony Law is just brilliant, but then you don’t really need me to tell you how that as the fact that he has been nominated for the Foster’s Best Comedy Show for the 32nd Foster's Comedy Awards speaks for itself. Good Luck Tony!
