A Manchester Anthem

A beautiful coming of age story, A Manchester Anthem stands out at this year’s fringe for its raw, sensitive portrayal of a young man’s last night at home before moving away to Uni.

John Tothill: The Last Living Libertine

The Last Living Libertine by John Tothill effortlessly blurs the lines between cabaret and TEDTalk, offering an evening that's as intellectually stimulating as it is side-splittingly funny.

Danny Beard and Their Band

This is not my first time seeing Danny Beard perform and it will not be the last. Danny has such a warmth and humble energy with the crowd, yet they know when to be cheeky and when to bring drag excellence. Now I would be sad if Danny didn't insult someone in the audience and they did not disappoint. They have that unteachable quality of being able to laugh at themselves and others in a way that brings so much joy.

Siân Docksey – Pole Yourself Together!

How funny that a show focused so much on dread left me feeling so happy.

Siân Docksey starts off her routine with a strong visual gag, bringing silliness to her pole dancing while still presenting very impressive skills (a feat that is even more impressive considering she’s been doing this physically demanding show for a month now).
