Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett isn’t just a cabaret. It’s a full-throttle, punk-rock, gin-soaked fever dream that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. Housed in the atmospheric magic mirror tent in the Meadows, the show explodes with raw talent, filthy humour, and a level of sensuality and skill that makes most other variety nights feel like warm-up acts.

Bernie Dieter (the Kabarett Queen herself) owns the stage with feral charisma, velvet vocals, and razor-sharp wit. She teases, taunts, and tames the crowd, setting the tone for a night of uninhibited celebration. She leads us through an ever-rotating cast of gender-bending, fire-breathing, whip-cracking brilliance: a sultry contortionist, a trapeze artist in stripper heels, a coke fuelled acrobat and more. Confidence radiates from every act, and the live band amplifies the energy with pounding, glitter-drenched sound.

There’s no safety in the crowd, and that’s the fun of it. This is a show about letting go. Embracing the weird, the wild and the sexy. The audience is left with a message of empowerment and human connection. Bernie Dieter’s Club Kabarett is a riot of talent and joy. This is hands-down one of the most electric experiences at the Fringe.
