Chloe Petts has had a busy year, starring in Hannah Gadsby’s Gender Agenda (Netflix) and landing her debut BBC Radio 4 show, Toilet Humour. Now she’s back, after two consecutive sell-out Fringe runs, with another hilarious, intelligent and well-crafted set.

As soon as Chloe Petts introduces herself from the wings, she sets the tone for her hour. Open, honest, warm and relaxed, Chloe Petts puts you at ease. This time, she’s talking about the internet trolls that have recently found her after landing her own regular segment on Sky Sports News, where she would irreverently round up the week in football. The punchlines are fast – and if one didn’t land, don’t sweat – Chloe’s already setting up the next.

But where Chloe Petts shines is in her crowd work. She effortlessly works the room, relaxed and in control. Whether providing quick quips as audience members nip off to the bathroom, or using that time to find out embarrassing stories about them and then deliver the punchlines when they return; Chloe is quick witted and responds to what the audience give her.

While the ‘glossary’ set up wasn’t my favourite, Chloe is an exceptional comedian, set for stardom. Though the scouse accent needs work.
