A fantastically ridiculous boyband parody packed with catchy songs, slick choreography and plenty of toxic masculinity.

FUCCBOIS: Live in Concert puts you front row at the final concert of the world’s biggest boyband. Brandon, Brendan, Tyler and Other Brendan are four swaggering, thrusting fuccbois who love women, respect women and are definitely, absolutely not misogynists. As they repeatedly remind us.

What follows is a very funny parody of boyband culture and toxic dating behaviour, taking aim at ghosting, gaslighting, love bombing and the endless red flags of modern dating. The songs are the highlight, with clever lyrics, catchy hooks and choreography that fully commits to the ridiculousness. The performers throw themselves into their characters, perfectly capturing the exaggerated confidence and manufactured sincerity of a boyband at the height of its fame.

There are plenty of great moments, but the show doesn’t always sustain its momentum. Occasionally the jokes can start to feel repetitive, and some of the characters and storylines are introduced without enough time or space to fully develop. At times, it feels more like a collection of very good sketches and songs than a fully cohesive show.

All in all, FUCCBOIS is a lot of fun. Its commitment carries it, and the combination of strong musical numbers and increasingly outrageous behaviour makes for a very entertaining hour.
