You’re making your Edinburgh Fringe debut – tell us about your show.

The theme for my show is how we live in the world as it is now.  I’m looking at things like AI and Only Fans – the world of social media and how it has made us question things like school, romance and friendships.

It’s also about being in your thirties and having to make some big decisions about life – about dating, marriage, whether you should have a child.

You’re huge on YouTube with more than a million subscribers… that’s quite a big deal these days

YouTube is the most universal platform – so if I’m touring in Australia or Canada or in Europe people can find me there. I’m on all the major platforms and some of the smaller ones.

It’s a strange time to be American.

It’s so wild how you can go to Europe and talk about American politics and be understood.

But the joke needs to be funny. If the joke isn’t funny you’re just sharing a political point of view.

You talk a lot about your parents’ divorce

They divorced when I was a baby but my mother married again and then and my mother and stepfather got divorced. 

It is more about what it looks like when your mum dates – or when your dad is on dating sites. Someone got in touch to say my Dad contacted them on a dating site – and they became a fan of my comedy.

Are you looking forward to Edinburgh?

I usually gig five days a week so it will be great to stay in one place. The most exciting part for me is to get to see some other artists. I have a three pm show so it is the first chance I have had to see some comedy. I really want to take the chance to see some theatre while I’m at the Fringe.
