Grace Jarvis is new to the UK! Hailing from both Australia and New Zealand, she’s experienced
some real culture shock since moving to London one year ago. The biggest one being that the
light switches are on the outside of the loo. Why should whoever’s on the other side of the door
decide if she showers in the dark?!

With her charming, dry humour Jarvis regales the audience with stories of childhood trips to UK
safaris, her Australian/New Zealand upbringing, falling in love, getting her phone stolen by a
teen on a bike, dealing with the London police, going on Facebook market place quests (often
by bus or train very far) and working in a sex shop!

As a seasoned comedian, Jarvis has a natural wit. Her stories were relatable and funny, but
they often lacked a final punch. Perhaps a lack of confidence, but that’s not to say Jarvis
struggled, the overall production was very funny.

Just Because I’m Crying Doesn’t Mean I’m Not Having a Nice Time is a laugh filled hour for
those often finding themselves in the middle of weird happenings and those who live their lives
as if it were one big Richard Scarry book.
