Matt Hale Top Fun! 80s Spectacular – Remix is full of fun. For starters Matt Hale is a brilliant performer, from the moment he entered the stage he was instantly likeable. You could tell any kind of nervous energy in the air at the idea of being hypnotised quickly drifted away.

The show opens with an 80s themed dressing room video, setting the tone for the show. Hale’s commitment to his 80’s theme is evident, from the music to his costume, the audience are instantly immersed into this 80’s extravaganza. Once the members of the audience are hypnotised Matt puts on a great show full of hilarious hypnosis demonstrations.

Though, it does take a while to hit its stride. Due to the nature of hypnosis, the process of getting participants into a hypnotic state is rightfully lengthy, and it isn’t until about a third of the way through that the real action begins. While Hale’s charisma and energy keep the audience engaged, the lack of available time leaves some of the volunteers on stage feeling underutilised. Despite this, Matt Hale creates a delightful and entertaining experience that leaves the audience wanting more. With a longer format, this 80s spectacular could truly shine.
