An all-singing comedy explores the big questions we face in our lives through a modern, 21st century lens. Rogers is incredibly relatable, witty, and a joy to watch. Her songs delve into big life questions surrounding weddings, relationships, polyamory, housing, babies, social media, and identity. She quickly establishes a connection with the audience – many of us will share her quest for answers on how
to be happy and satisfied; how to navigate both romantic relationships and relationships with our therapists successfully. Ultimately, she asks the question, how can we ever truly be content? And though social media may deceive, Rogers pinpoints, buying yourself flowers and putting them in a vase as an act of ‘self-care’ will never be the answer.

The stage is simple, just the performer, her guitar, a mic, and a seat – allowing Rogers to be our focus. In the short breaks between numbers Isobel chats to the audience, warming us up to the next song. At two points she puts her guitar down and sings small excerpts of musical theatre-esq sassy and sophisticated songs.

Isobel Rogers’ question of how we can be content in an ever-changing online world is never solved. There is no simple answer. But this in itself is something audience members can resonate with even more, all done through clever comedic song.
