Every show begins with an initial spark. What was the original idea, moment or experience that made you create this piece?

I ran out of excuses not to do another one. I seem to cause chaos wherever I go and I really don’t think it’s all my fault, someone else must be to blame but, spoiler alert, it’s actually me.

What can audiences expect when they step into this world?

A woman oversharing and probably wearing a nightie because I forgot to put a wash on and that’s all I’ve got clean, whilst I try to justify my own questionable actions. If you’ve ever looked at yourself and thought “Surely no one else is like this” you’ll be quite at home.

The Edinburgh Fringe is a place where artists and audiences come together from across the world. Why is this the right place for this show?

I don’t think anywhere is the right place, but where else in the world do people queue up to listen to a woman shout about  bowel movements and boiled eggs? It’s a beautiful thing.

What is something about the show that the audience might not immediately notice, but you hope they discover?

That all the stories are based on fact. Which should be a concern but does make a good laugh.

What has surprised you most about creating this piece?

That anyone let me.

When your audience walks home, what would you love them to still be talking about?

Hopefully how funny it was! And “Do you think she’s actually like that?” “Do you think she washes that nightie? It looks like it’s got old gravy on it.”
