Milo Edwards has a flurry of award nominations. His show Voicemail was nominated for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival in 2023. His show Sentimental was nominated for NextUp’s ‘Biggest Award in Comedy,’ was long-listed for Best Show at the Edinburgh (Ish) Comedy Awards in 2023, and was shortlisted for Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2024.

Having grown frustrated and jaded with the lack of award wins, particularly for such an emotional show last year, Milo decides to change tack with this new hour, ‘How Revolting! Sorry to Offend.’ Instead, railing against “all the shit that pisses him off.”

The overarching theme of this show is the class divide. Hailing from Essex originally, Milo adopted a posher sounding accent during his studies at Cambridge University. He has dated women who are, in his eyes, upper class. People often assume he is also ‘posh.’ This has afforded him a unique perspective into the absurdities of the British class system.

Milo does not limit himself to criticism on class with no subject being off-limits. Topics covered include the Falkland War, British pornography, the Palestine partisan and Japanese war crimes.

A captivating hour of biting satire and razor-sharp call backs, Milo has the ability to breach topics that many comedians will refuse to cover. Surely stand-up comedy award wins are on the horizon for Milo in the near future but if not, he’ll always have his 2022 Best Poster at the Edinburgh Fringe Award win.
