The smash hit performance from Mythos Theatre has returned to the Edinburgh Fringe for the third year in a row. Mythos: Ragnarok takes audiences on a thrilling journey through Norse mythology, from the creation of Asgard and Midgard to the cataclysmic demise of the Gods in Ragnarok.

True to its unique style, the production is rich with wrestling and high-energy stunts, seamlessly blending pro-wrestling with sophisticated stage combat. The dynamic choreography, combined with clever audience interaction and sharp comedic timing, offers a refreshingly alternative approach to storytelling that keeps viewers thoroughly engaged.

The creative use of set and lighting masterfully builds a tense and immersive atmosphere, leaving audience members on the edge of their seats as they eagerly anticipate the next character’s entrance.

Ed Gamester, the multifaceted talent behind the show as its writer, director, producer, and the actor portraying Loki, has described the challenges of securing funding for this production. The struggle largely stemmed from its innovative hybrid of theatre and sport. However, this unique fusion has proven to be its strength, captivating audiences and carving out a distinctive niche in the world of performance art.
