Watch mother/daughter duo Polly Amorous & Esther Parade battle against the evil yogurt-like, but not yogurt product “Mulk” while joyously tackling topics like childhood, chosen family, and the cost of fame. Featuring witches, massive props, puppets, audience participation, accessible shows, and a free “Slut for Mulk” pin on the way out – Polly & Esther is an entertaining night out for everyone. 

A silly premise, two meddling witches find a drag queen (Polly Amorous) who, through a medley including hits from Green Day and Avril Lavenge, sings about being lonely and alone. They decide to give her a companion and bring a mannequin to life, but instead of giving her a lash, they’ve accidentally given her a tash (Esther Parade)! Polly takes Ester under her wing, and together they try to achieve success & fame by partnering with a probiotic-with-bad-intentions before realizing all they really need is each other. A bit chaotic and messy at times, this show was fun and has a lot of heart. 

Though packed with campy songs and silly gags, in a heartfelt turn, new-drag-mother Polly Amorous has a conversation with the disembodied voice of her own mother about motherhood. Her mother discusses the trials and tribulations of raising an outspoken, hard-headed daughter and tells Polly that she has to support and love Esther as they are. This provides a truly beautiful moment about chosen families and some great character development before heading into the final song medley featuring Chappell Roan and High School Musical hits. It’s a blast.
