It is always a good sign when a comedian has you completely absorbed in their act from the offset. Sam Nicoresti achieves just that. An excellent, up-and-coming performer, perfectly pitched for a 2025 audience. Sam connects with the audience in a warm, likeable way, while delivering laughs not just every minute, but every few seconds in this well-paced hour.

From cats to Cornwall stones, to the search for the perfect skirt suit, Nicoresti weaves together stories that are both thought-provoking and touching. There is theatricality woven in throughout; moments where Sam finds stillness, takes to the mic, looks up to the light, and makes a statement. They don’t always seem to work mid-set, but maybe that’s the point – they halt the flow, draw us in, and shift us in a new direction.

As the follow-up to the acclaimed Wokeflake, Baby Doomer continues Nicoresti’s exploration of identity and experience with sharp wit and genuine heart. The journey from losing your mind during a stressful house move to finding it again resonates beyond the comedy, creating something that feels both personal and universal.

Funny, enjoyable, and an hour well spent with a comedian who clearly understands how to balance entertainment with substance.
