I’m going to preface my review by sharing one thing I have learned about myself; I am not a fan of acrobatics, contortionist or any kind of death-defying circus. I find it incredibly difficult to suspend my fear of people getting injured! With that out of the way, if you are not like me, you will thoroughly enjoy the chaos of this show.

The performance has a spectacle of high-flying spins and twists, the music is loud, buzzy and familiar (N’Sync’s Bye Bye Bye, and Billie Eilish What Was I Made For, to name two), and the performers are enthusiastic in their roles and stunts.Without giving too much away, there is a fireman strip tease, roller skate acrobatics, hoop work, and an almost full-frontal unicycle routine. It is madness and silly, and absolutely pointless, good fun. Pretty much what a wild party is supposed to be.

Sophie’s Surprise 29th is a great start to anyone’s night. Go with your pals, have a few pints and you’ll have a wild, fun time. I’ll just close my eyes for the dangerous stunts.
