Jaw-dropping, heart-pumping, how-did-they-do-that acrobatics paired with the music of the cult movie The Blues Brothers. What’s not to love?
Set in an elegant nightclub, reminiscent of the Cotton Club, five Kenyan acrobats dazzle across the stage in suave black suits. It’s easy to see they know this routine like the back of their hands, having performed to over 500,000 audience members across the globe. They’ve even astonished in their Royal Variety Performance in 2020, so it is a no-brainer that Assembly Rooms Main Hall sells out to the crowds.
Whether they are performing gravity defying stunts, somersaults or impressive skipping rope skills, they hold the audience’s attention from the word go. Think backflips across tables, perfectly executed human pyramids and stunts with fire. Definitely acrobatics but not quite falling under the dance category, this show certainly has a groove and rhythm. And they make it look so easy.
The Black Blues Brothers is a staple, a solid choice and a must-see if you’ve not witnessed this act before.
