The sun has gone down, and you think the glitter of the Fringe is settling. But you are mistaken. Come midnight and it’s time to go down the rabbit hole, by which I mean, the Kaye Hole.

Reuben Kaye is an unapologetic host for a cabaret evening full of variety. As the night
begins, there is a mixed crowd of people, some only just starting their night and others who
have come from watching another show prior. But there is a reason why Kaye Hole starts as the
next day begins. One big naughty reason!

Reuben’s first word is a queer slur, one that many have reclaimed, as has Reuben himself. This definitely sets the bold tone of the show ahead. Close-mindedness is not allowed here: Reuben clearly creates an open, liberating space for all. With an electric personality perfect for getting an audience involved, Reuben keeps the energy up from start to finish.

The Kaye Hole features a diverse line-up of performers that I won’t give away, but if you’re into nudity and an accordion, you’re in the right place.

Throughout the night there may be a jokes that go amiss, but there’s something exciting about watching fresh, unique and liberating talent give it their all in a non-judgemental atmosphere.
