Every show begins with an initial spark. What was the original idea, moment or experience that made you create this piece? 

I was listening to that song Scatman from the 90s in the car and started crying thinking about how Scatman John overcame a stammer and made the greatest banger of 1994 and I realised ‘Jesus I cry at some mad things’ and started listing them and the show pretty much came together. 

What can audiences expect when they step into this world? 

They can expect some wildly embarrassing but relatable stories and so many tangents they’ll feel like they’ve just visited a sexy bronzed men’s only beech (tan-gents). They’ll get puns as well.

The Edinburgh Fringe is a place where artists and audiences come together from across the world. Why is this the right place for this show? 

Edinburgh by nature has to be judgement free. So what better way to tell everyone I cried in the swimming pool showers at 16 when everyone saw me in the nip.

What is something about the show that the audience might not immediately notice, but you hope they discover?

That contrary to popular advice going running and opening up to your friends can actually be detrimental for your health.

What has surprised you most about creating this piece? 

Honestly? That the job isn’t what I thought it was. Every show before this, I crammed in songs, sketches, a sexy striptease cat routine, cause I was worried I’d bore myself and the audience just talking. Turns out my job isn’t coming up with things to talk about, it’s making the thing you’re already talking about funnier. So this time I stripped it all back, just wrote about what my mind kept coming back to and worked on making it as sharp as I could, and it’s the best show I’ve done.

When your audience walks home, what would you love them to still be talking about?

What cartoon animal was their first celebrity crushes.
