Dig out your lowrise denim and pink satin platforms because YUCK Circus are taking us back to the Year 2000. Not much has changed, but we’ve all got a side fringe. 

Skilfully blending comedy with acrobatics, Naughties is a playful celebration of everything Y2K with some seriously impressive stunts. In an angsty aerial silks performance, we see strength, flexibility, and creativity set to the perfect needle drop, and if you ever thought it was impossible to use a skipping rope while sitting down, YUCK Circus’s very own Fergie will quickly change your mind. Her act is so outstanding it’s enough to warrant a song title change to ‘My Jumps’. 

The show features delightful cameos from relics of the 00s: somersaulting robotic dogs, paper fortune tellers, and the famously lethal sky dancers. After testing us on texting acronyms, our charismatic MC advised us the same unhinged way that Agony Aunt’s did their teenage readership. Apparently committing criminal damage is justified if it’s for revenge. These interactive interludes hugely enhanced the immersive time travel back to the start of the new millennium. 

Nostalgic and joyous, Naughties is a lively circus showcase with a vibrant cast. To experience a perfect throwback set list and complete mastery over not one, but four hoola hoops, look no further.
